Dallas’ Trinity Consultants Acquires California Engineering Consultancy Zanjero

Trinity Consultants, a global environmental consulting firm, said Zanjero offers specialized expertise in providing strategic water resource planning services to cities, counties, and water service providers throughout California and the Western U.S.

Dallas-based Trinity Consultants has acquired Zanjero Inc., a Sacramento, California-based engineering and water planning consultancy.

Mike Remsberg

Trinity Consultants is a global environmental consulting firm providing services and solutions in the EHS regulatory compliance, built environment, life sciences, and water and ecology markets.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Zanjero shares our commitment to scientific excellence, environmental ethics, and exceptional responsiveness to address complex regulations and resource challenges,” Mike Remsberg, divisional president of Water & Ecology at Trinity, said in a statement.

“Given its specialized expertise in providing strategic water resource planning services to cities, counties, and water service providers throughout California and the Western U.S., Zanjero enables us to deliver a more extensive suite of solutions to better meet our clients’ growing needs,” Remsberg added.

Trinity said that Zanjero joins its Water & Ecology team of experts from Trinity’s previous acquisitions of WestLand Engineering and Environmental Services, Soundview Consultants, Ecofish Research, Minnow Environmental, AWN Consulting, Vision Environment and ECOSA.

Founded in 2022, Zanjero is a water resources firm that bridges the gap between traditional engineering firms and traditional law firms by synthesizing the legal, technical, economic, and political elements that permeate water issues and water plans.

Trinity said that Zanjero provides expertise around water planning, political dynamics, financial impacts, regulatory, and legal mandates, and technical realities to advise, manage, and solve clients’ most complex water challenges.

“The Trinity acquisition marks a pivotal chapter in our company’s growth trajectory,” Zanjero Partner Jim Crowley said in a statement. “This partnership allows us to build on our successes and collectively expand our geographic footprint, provide greater opportunities for career advancement, and better serve our people, clients, and communities in North America and beyond.”

Zanjero’s leadership team—Crowley, Greg Young, and Gwyn-Mohr Tully—will remain in place and work closely with Remsberg and the broader Trinity leadership team to expand and enhance solutions, the companies said.
